NOTE: Artist talk which will be live with Q & A: 6:30 pm
— Collaboratively Hosted by Side Street Gallery and Maryam’s Mark & Co./ Art Social
Side Street Gallery is pleased to announce the highly anticipated solo exhibition of
Annie Thompson: “Rehearsals.” Opening May 2, 2025 from 5 PM – 8 PM
The title Rehearsals comes from the studio practice I’ve had this year, where I’ve created many alla prima (one-shot) paintings in hopes of generating new and grander painting ideas. The painting focus has been centered around investigating the materiality of oil paint, reduced color palettes, and going back to painting fundamentals. Thompson exhibition 25 features paintings and artworks.
“Annie wishes to thank The Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation for its financial support.”
“Rehearsal” will be on view from May 2 to May 24, 2024, at Side Street Gallery. The opening reception will take place on May 2 from 5 PM to 8 PM. Artist Talk starts around 6:30 pm – and will also be streamed live on Instagram.
All our welcome. For the remainder of the exhibition, the gallery is open by
appointment only. Please text Harvey or Maryam and the artist to arrange to view their exhibit.
